TapTask · Last updated 30 July 2026

TapTask is a task manager for iOS. This policy explains exactly what it stores and where. It is short because the app collects very little.

What is stored

That is the entire list. TapTask has no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party trackers of any kind. Nothing in the app profiles you or builds a record of how you use it.

Where it is stored

Account and task data are held in Google Firebase — Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Access rules restrict every document to the signed-in account that owns it. Google processes this data as our service provider; see Firebase's privacy documentation.

Linear

Connecting Linear is optional. If you connect it:

On-device intelligence

TapTask can download a language model — about 240 MB, from huggingface.co — which then runs entirely on your iPhone. It shortens imported issue titles and writes your daily summary. Your task text is never sent to a model server, ours or anyone else's. Deleting the model in Settings removes it from the device.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your card, billing address or any other payment detail. Apple tells the app only whether an active subscription exists.

Your data

Children

TapTask is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
